The competition culminates in the Grand Hall of Žofín Palace, in the very centre of Prague.
Žofín Palace is a celebrated neo-Renaissance palace on Slovanský ostrov (Slavic Island) in the heart of Prague, built in the 19th century and long a vital centre of the city’s cultural and social life. It is famous above all as the place where, in 1882, Bedřich Smetana’s «Má vlast» (My Homeland) was performed in its entirety for the first time - and where Dvořák, Liszt, Wagner and other outstanding musicians took the stage.
A red-carpet arrival with star guests and press, a festive reception, and a concert featuring stars of the Czech pop scene alongside the competition laureates - closing with the results and the ceremonial handing of the prizes.
